Although mostly on main roads we had a
pleasant run to the Thomas Shop in Penybont near Llandrindod
Wells. Most of the party also went to the Elan valley for a picnic
lunch but we had to miss that because of need to get home early.
The Thomas Shop has an amazing collection of artifacts with an
interesting history. It dates back to 1805 when it was a social
and economic centre in Mid Wales long before Llandrindod Wells
rose to fame.At its height it employed several tailors and started
the first bank in Wales. It lasted until 1958 when shops started
to change drastically Definitely worth a visit.
